Virus-Human Ion Channel Interaction Database

Introduction

Welcome to the Virus–Human Ion Channel Interaction (VHIC) Database, a comprehensive repository dedicated to virus–human ion channel interactions. VHIC integrates large-scale predicted interactions generated using the VPPI-MetaGO machine learning framework, together with a curated set of experimentally supported known interactions, to provide a centralized resource for exploring virus–ion channel interactions across diverse viral families. The database contains 1,27,165 interactions involving 585 human viruses, 25 viral families, and 322 human ion channel proteins. Each interaction is accompanied by relevant annotations to facilitate data exploration, functional analysis, and downstream research. VHIC is an open-access resource designed to support the global scientific community in investigating virus–host interactions and identifying host-directed therapeutic targets.
